Dr. Stefan Kaufmann

Attorney

About me

After studying law in Tübingen and Leiden/Netherlands, I worked as a research assistant for Prof Dr George Turner at the University of Hohenheim. This was followed by a doctorate with the constitutional law expert Prof Dr Thomas Oppermann at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen on a topic relating to European and international law. After completing my legal clerkship in Stuttgart with stays abroad in Bordeaux, Brussels and London, I worked as a lawyer (including at Löffler Wenzel Sedelmeier in Stuttgart), most recently at the law firm Blaich & Partner since September 2007.

Before my election to the Bundestag in 2009 as a directly elected member of parliament for the constituency of Stuttgart I, I advised private companies, public organisations and private individuals on company law and intellectual property law and assisted in the establishment of charitable foundations.

I also have particular expertise in the field of media law, especially in the representation of private individuals in cases of infringement of personal rights in the media.
