Düsseldorf, January 13, 2026 – The commercial law firm SNP Schlawien continues its growth course and further expands its Düsseldorf office. At the beginning of the year, five partners are moving from Schindhelm Rechtsanwälte to SNP, one of whom will take on an of counsel position. With this expansion, the firm is strengthening its expertise in the areas of M&A, corporate law, labor law, and litigation.
The new partners at the Düsseldorf office include Dr. Clemens Rogge, Dr. Johannes Thoma, Christian Rutsch, and Gisbert Schnurbusch. The team is complemented by Michael Schmidt, who will support SNP as Of Counsel in the future.
Dr. Clemens Rogge (61) has been providing comprehensive advice in the field of M&A for many years and assists with complex company acquisitions, sales, and restructurings. Other areas of focus in his work include labor law, contract law, and competition law.
Dr. Johannes Thoma (61) has extensive experience in corporate law, M&A, and corporate litigation. His advice focuses in particular on restructuring and providing legal support to companies in crisis and restructuring situations.
Christian Rutsch (52) advises and represents companies, managing directors, and board members on all issues relating to individual and collective labor law, as well as commercial and corporate law, civil law, and civil procedure law.
Gisbert Schnurbusch (56) has been involved in litigation and dispute resolution for more than 25 years. He represents companies in court and out-of-court proceedings and has extensive expertise in supporting companies in crisis, restructuring and generational succession.
Michael Schmidt, LL.M. (63) advises and represents insurance companies and policyholders in legally and technically complex claims. Another focus is banking and capital market law, including regulatory requirements.
“With the addition of this well-coordinated team, we have significantly strengthened our position in important strategic areas of consulting,” says Christian Lentföhr, partner at the Düsseldorf office. “This will enable us to noticeably expand our range of consulting services, particularly for our clients in North Rhine-Westphalia, and to sustainably expand our Düsseldorf office.”
The decision was also clear on the part of the new arrivals: “SNP offers an excellent entrepreneurial and collegial environment. We look forward to contributing our experience and actively shaping the further expansion of the firm,” explains Dr. Johannes Thoma on behalf of the new team.
