Attorney
As a lawyer, I advise medium-sized companies and start-ups on commercial and corporate law and am the point of contact for shareholders, managing directors, board members and supervisory board members.
I support my clients in all matters from the formation of the first GmbH to the exit through company sale, company succession or liquidation. Among other things, I help with capital measures in the company, drafting and revising term sheets, articles of association and participation agreements, creating group structures, conversions into other legal forms and shareholder disputes. My special expertise lies in particular in the comprehensive understanding and sound advice in the context of the partnership limited by shares (KGaA).
A particular focus of my advice is the start-up scene, as founders in particular generally have limited resources and are dependent on effective and efficient advice. I also provide support here through lectures and workshops. In the past, I have been a member of the Foundersclub Freiburg, a mentor for the Black Forest Accelerator of foundersnet and a legal contact for the Startup Academy Lörrach.
My goal is to help innovative and aspiring companies achieve their business goals by offering pragmatic solutions. Many questions arise, especially when it comes to financing: equity or debt capital? What do we need to look out for in financing rounds and when negotiating contracts? As I also work for investors and business angels, I know the wishes and needs of both sides and can provide effective support during negotiations and create added value through my extensive network.
A good consultant needs more than just theory. They need to know the industries and minds behind the companies in order to understand their problems. That’s why I’m a member of the Wirtschaftsjunioren Freiburg and was active on the board for several years. Having founded my own tech start-up, I can report first-hand on my experiences and difficulties.
