For more than 15 years, I have advised on M&A transactions, debt and equity investments and restructurings, with a particular focus on the financial and real estate sector.
Before joining SNP Schlawien, I worked for several years as an in-house lawyer at FMS Wertmanagement AöR, the ‘bad bank’ of the former Hypo Real Estate AG, where I was responsible for large portfolio and M&A transactions, restructurings and refinancings in the real estate and financing sector. There, for example, I was in charge of the sale of Depfa Bank plc and was also primarily responsible for the restructuring and sale of various distressed financings and other assets with a total value of several billion euros.
At the beginning of my professional career in 2005, I worked in the corporate finance department of a major international law firm in Munich, where I advised start-ups and financial investors as well as medium-sized and listed companies, primarily on transactions and corporate law issues. I have also repeatedly advised on insolvencies, near-crisis situations and restructuring cases.
Keep it simple, stupid! At least that’s what I try to do in my professional life.
