As a certified specialist in insurance law, I have many years of experience in representing and advising insurance companies, businesses and private individuals in the field of insurance law. Here I advise and represent, among other things, in the areas of the law of

In traffic law, I specialise in dealing with serious and very serious personal injury claims. Accident victims and their families need experienced experts, as the distinction between primary and secondary damage, knowledge of the law of evidence and a basic understanding of medicine are essential. With over 20 years of experience in this field, as a certified specialist in traffic law, I have extensive experience in the causal relationships between injuries and the consequences of damage, including pre-existing conditions and previous damage as well as in the area of psychological consequential damage such as post-traumatic stress disorder. My expertise also extends to the assessment of technical difficulties in accident reconstructions and the consideration of insurance law problems in the settlement of claims. I support my clients in asserting claims against private occupational disability or accident insurance companies and provide legal advice in these proceedings.

 

For more than 12 years, I have represented social insurance carriers throughout Germany in the area of major claims in recourse proceedings pursuant to Section 116 SGB X / Section 6 EntgFG as an expert in social insurance recourse (Section 116 SGB X), an expert in employer recourse (Section 6 EntgFG) and an expert in sharing agreements. I regularly deal with typical issues in this area of law, such as the family privilege, special features of claims under social law (e.g. sick pay) and their procedural presentation (e.g. proof of expenses in the statutory paperless billing procedure pursuant to Section 301 SGB V). Special attention is also paid here to the economic management of the respective cases. This requires a precise, realistic and critical assessment of the factual and legal situation as well as the expected legal costs. I therefore work closely with the social insurance institutions I represent and provide them with legal and tactical support in handling their cases.

 

I also train and develop recourse lawyers.

 

In 2005, I was the first lawyer in Saxony to be authorised to use the title certified specialist in insurance law, and in 2007 I was authorised to use the title certified specialist in traffic law. Since 2006, I have been the chairman of the ‘Certified specialist in insurance law’ committee of the Saxony Bar Association.
