Dr Petra Ostermaier

As a certified specialist in labour law, I advise multinational corporations as well as medium-sized and smaller companies, local authorities, associations and clubs on all matters relating to individual and collective employment law and the associated issues of social security law. I have been advising many clients for more than 20 years. During this time, I have acquired specific expertise in the software, automotive, energy and retail sectors.

I support my clients primarily by clarifying employment and social security law issues and drafting contracts, works agreements and all other documents relating to HR work. I also represent them in court and support them in negotiations with trade unions, works councils and in conciliation committees. I cover employment law issues in M&A transactions and restructurings. I also support board members, managing directors and senior executives in their contract negotiations with companies, whether they are joining or leaving the company.

I also specialize in advising companies on data protection and in the area of public law, primarily in public construction law and municipal tax law.

In my advice, I attach particular importance to finding a pragmatic solution, suggesting a concrete course of action to clients and not leaving them alone with a legal opinion.
