SNP strengthens its construction and architectural law team with a new partner

Munich, 3 August 2026 – The commercial law firm SNP Schlawien is strengthening its construction and architectural law practice with the appointment of Dr Jannis Matkovic. The specialist solicitor in construction and architectural law joins the Munich office as a partner, expanding the firm’s nationwide advisory expertise in this area of law. He previously practised at the law firm Scheidle & Partner.

Dr Jannis Matkovic (33) advises medium-sized companies, property developers, architectural practices and other stakeholders in the construction and property sectors on all aspects of private construction and architectural law for many years. His particular areas of expertise include construction contract law, property development law and the liability of architects and engineers. In addition to his legal practice, he is a lecturer for the supplementary qualification in construction law at Philipps University of Marburg and the author of numerous academic publications. His doctoral thesis on the new consumer construction contract law was awarded the Research Prize of the Deutscher Baugerichtstag e.V.

Dr A. Olrik Vogel and Dr Grete Langjahr, partners in the construction law team at the Munich office, welcome the new addition: “In Dr Jannis Matkovic, we are gaining an outstanding colleague who combines academic excellence with many years of practical experience. Together, we aim to further expand our nationwide presence in construction and property law and offer our clients even more comprehensive support on complex construction projects.”

Dr Jannis Matkovic is also looking forward to his new role: “SNP stands for high-calibre commercial law advice and strong interdisciplinary collaboration. I am looking forward to contributing my experience to a team operating nationwide and, together with my colleagues, further developing our advice in construction and architectural law.”

With these new appointments, SNP is consistently pursuing its strategic expansion in construction and property law. The practice group advises clients throughout the entire life cycle of property and construction projects – from drafting contracts and providing advice during the construction phase through to litigation before courts and arbitration tribunals.
