Building and architects' law

YOUR CHALLENGES

Construction projects are characterised by a large number of contractual partners, regulations, risks and associated potential conflicts. Their successful implementation requires not only technical and organisational expertise, but also legal expertise. Therefore, we advise and represent our clients throughout the entire project life cycle: from planning and contract drafting to advice during construction to warranty and claims management or – if necessary – dispute resolution.

The complexity of construction projects and the parties involved is also reflected in the range of concerns of our clients: by drafting and negotiating legally compliant architect, general planner, engineering and project management and construction contracts, we lay the foundations for the successful realisation of the planned construction project. We also advise and support private and public clients in the awarding of construction and planning contracts.

During the construction phase, we come into play, among other things, in the legal review of supplements, disruptions to the construction process, refusals to perform, the insolvency of parties involved in construction or representation in connection with construction and planning defects as well as remuneration and liability issues.

Conflicts regularly arise between the contracting parties in construction projects, not least due to considerable delays in construction and cost increases. Our primary aim here is to avoid lengthy and time-consuming and cost-intensive proceedings before the ordinary courts by pursuing your interests in possible alternative dispute resolution proceedings. If this is not promising, we will of course also represent you in proceedings before the ordinary courts or arbitration tribunals.
